I AM PLANNING ANOTHER ADVENTURE WHICH YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT AT
kathrynab2.blogspot.com

This Blog will attempt to satisfy all the people who have asked me to keep in touch whilst I am away:

1. family - I am safe if I am posting, so please forgive me if I haven't Skyped or e-mailed for a while!

2. friends - as above ... and don't worry about feeling jealous - it's not all going to be a bed of roses I'm sure!

3. children -  this is a geography lesson ... look at the places I visit in your atlas! That's one of those big book things with pages .. you don't have to plug it in!

4. everyone else - if this inspires you to step out of your comfort zone or chase a dream ... I'm glad!

Preparation

So far I have ....

                   - rejected at least 5 routes and settled on one which will take me around the world
                   - accepted an invite from step-brother whom I have never met and his wife, to Vancouver
                   - seen the surgery and started getting jabs ... well can't afford them all in one month!
                   - taken my Compulsory Basic Training on a  motorbike so I have a choice of transport
                   - not looked cool in the proof-of-passing CBT photo ... unlike my friend (below)
                   - discovered that I can save money by having flexible flight plans and using Skyscanner
                   - spent some of my savings on a flight to Vancouver in Sept
                   - and another to Auckland in October
                   - arranged to have some bar experience so I don't have to rely on my brain to get work

Making the Decision

There comes a time in every girl's life ..... well, put it like this: It's my turn now!
Daughter - been there
Sister - did that for a while
Wife - did that too ... twice
Mother - am still doing that and it's the best thing I've ever done (not because I've been very good at it, 'cos I know I've stuffed up quite a few times, but because they are the most amazing people)

So it's my turn to do exactly what? That's the scary part ... I am just not at all sure where this idea of 'travelling until the money runs out' is going to lead. But I've made my mind up and have started researching like some crazy research-person.
